Sludge Removal
Tip-Top Industrial Solutions uses a variety of approaches to remove complicated wastes from inconvenient locations. Sludge is a general description used to encompass a variety of concepts, but generally it is a semisolid mass not unlike mud, mire, or ooze. Often sludge will be precipitated by sewage treatment.
One of our recent projects involved removing sludge from a territory rainwater recovery basin. We were faced with multiple challenges:
- the holding basin was 6 meters deep – with access only from the top
- the holding basin was above ground – which required climbing it to access it from the top
- the holding basin was about 15 meters away from the closest outdoor access point (small doors to access the building)
Our experts designed the project below to remove this thick, viscous waste.

We built a system that connected a thick hose from our vacuum loader through the small doors of the building, up to the basin, up and over the 6 meter wall, down into the sludge. Our specialists worked with the hose and other instruments to loosen up the waste and suck up the sludge at the bottom of the basin.
