Soda Blasting

Soda Blasting is based on the technology ARMEX® Blasting. It is a Soda Blasting method of cleaning surfaces with the use of sodium bicarbonate, delivered through the blasting nozzle by means of compressed air. Although similar to traditional sand blasting, Soda Blasting technology has some significant advantages: it will not harm the equipment surface and the sodium bicarbonate is water-soluble and ecologically safe.

Soda Blasting easily removes paint, fat, oil, grease, glue, and superficial corrosion on various metals, alloys, plastics and joints without damage to the equipment surface.  Soda Blasting is so effective, that it can remove practically any grime from any kind of surfaces.

How Soda Blasting works
Sodium bicarbonate particles move under pressure in a mix with compressed air.  When the reagent makes contact with dirt on the equipment surface the particles explode. The energy released by this explosion physically removes the grime.

Thanks to its low abrasiveness ARMEX® Soda Blasting, does not cause damage to the equipment surface.  To further reduce the possibility of damage to equipment, the operator is able to regulate the pressure of the blaster and the quantity of reagent used.

Advantages of Soda Blasting
  • Soda Blasting is quick and thorough
  • Environmentally сlean - сleans without the use of chemical solutions. Sodium bicarbonate dissolves easily in water and has no negative effect on the environment
  • Low cost –   setup time and cleaning is quick, the reagent is relatively inexpensive and the results are superior
  • Effectively removes graffiti, mold, paint, glue, rust, soot and many other pollutants
